Knights of the Cross!
"You are like crusaders united to fight against the world; not like Religious who retreat from the world lest they be overcome, but like brave and valiant warriors on the battlefield, who refuse to retreat or even yield an inch. Be brave and fight courageously.
"You must be joined together in a close union of mind and heart, which is stronger and far more formidable to the world and to hell than are the armed forces of a great nation to its enemies. Evil spirits are united to destroy you; you must be united to crush them. The avaricious are united to make money and amass gold and silver; you must combine your efforts to acquire the eternal treasures hidden in the Cross." — St. Louis de Montfort
"Ever keep in mind thy end and that time lost returneth no more." — Thomas à Kempis
Joining the Knight of the Cross is not a matter to be taken lightly. We seek only highly dedicated and committed Catholics who will prove themselves worthy of the name of Knight, not dabblers or membership collectors.
"Jesus said to him: No man putting his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)
Some are occupied with vain regrets for the "good old times," now gone forever. Others are looking eagerly forward to the days that are to come. There is danger lest the value and meaning of to-day be entirely forgotten. We need the sharp reminder "Do it now." Do not put off till to-morrow what can be and ought to be done today.
"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way. I learned a deep respect for one of Goethe's couplets:
Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!" — W.H. Murray
