"You shall seek me, and shall find me: when you shall seek me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13)
The path of spiritual knighthood is that of a daily and constant pilgrimage in the Quest for the kingdom of God.
The Quest of the Knights of the Cross is both interior and exterior, inward and outward. Everything is seen in the light of spiritual contemplation.
Our battles are against the world, the flesh and the devil, against dragons of fallen angels and giants of spiritual wickedness; our treasures are mystical; our victories are of the spirit in the noble quest for the heavenly crown.
In following this path, even the smallest events of daily life may reveal a deeper symbolic meaning and we begin to see the hand of God in all things.
Like those knights of old who went forth in search of the Holy Grail, we are on a holy quest, not for some relic or treasure but for a greater treasure—the kingdom of God.
It is a path that calls us to seek God in humility and silence, hidden from the world in Christ (Colossians 3:3). It is a quest for the kingdom of heaven within, the cultivation of the beauty and adornment of the soul.
"Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7)
